Goal

  • Enhance the admin UI for a more intuitive and efficient experience, empowering content managers to manage content effectively.
  • Implement a WYSIWYG editor to simplify content formatting and previewing, streamlining the content creation process.
  • Simplify product and category organization by redesigning the complex tree view for improved content navigation and management.
  • Complete the project within a strict 10-week timeline, ensuring smooth development and migration efforts under tight deadlines.
  • Accurately migrate extensive and inconsistent product data across nine languages, maintaining data accuracy and consistency.
  • Carefully plan and execute the migration of marketing content in over 16 languages, ensuring content integrity and high-quality localization throughout the process.

Solution

  • Transitioned the website from Sitecore to WordPress to leverage its flexible, user-friendly CMS. Migrated a total of 1,650 pages, including 700 marketing pages, 790 product pages, and 170 how-to guides, along with approximately 11,000 documents.
  • Implemented a multisite structure with multilingual capabilities using WPML and XTM Connect. The website now supports 9 to 17 languages with streamlined content management for expanding language needs. 
  • Integrated Marketo forms to enhance lead capture and marketing efforts.
  • Developed dynamic Gutenberg blocks compatible with XTM Connect for seamless content translation and localization. Created a contemporary user interface and intuitive management interfaces to enhance user experience and streamline content updates.
  • Developed a custom Editorial Workflow plugin to allow for draft reviews and streamlined content approval processes. Clients can enable or disable this workflow as needed.
  • Added a fast, effective search facility for large datasets, improving user access to relevant information. 
  • Implemented a Download Center module to organize and facilitate access to downloadable resources.
  • Integrated a Redirect API to manage URL changes and support short URLs, ensuring seamless user navigation.
