New Delhi is an interesting blend of corporate, government and historical places and this thing always excited me to visit the capital city of India. This time, the WordCamp 2017 came up as an opportunity to take a tour to Delhi.

We are the Delhi WC Sponsors!

Multidots has always been the fan of WordCamps and that’s the reason why we keep attending and contributing in these amazing WordPress-themed camps. As the company decided to sponsor the WordCamp being organized in Delhi, I found a way to meet a new set of like-minded people.

    Arrival at Delhi

The venue of WC was NDMC Convocation Centre, located at Parliament Street i.e. Sansad Marg, which is another government establishment and had a captivating surround environment. The nearby landmarks like monumental Qutub Minar, appealing Birla temple, and Modern-cum-Cultural Akshar Dham Temple were on my bucket list already. But, priority was to reach the WordCamp venue at the time and I succeeded in that. (Happy!)

    The Inauguration of One-Day WordCamp

The event was scheduled to start at 8:30 AM. Despite the drizzle, there were enough attendees since morning. The rush of people made me thought that NDMC is the only perfect place to host such event.

    A Quick Glance at Attendees

As usual, WordCamp welcomes everyone to get their share of knowledge. There were developers, bloggers, students, entrepreneurs, and WPgeek. From extremely non-technical people to advanced WordPress Coder, all type of peoples was there to attend the event with the same excitement. I wasn’t any less excited to meet all of them and talk.

Two-Track Schedule and it began with Rahul’s Talk!

The WordCamp had 2 tracks of speakers this time. It parked the ball to attendee’s court, as they have to decide which track they should attend. It meant two parallel good events would increase my restlessness. Thankfully, Rahul’s track has no parallel track. Rahul spoke about ‘Selling WordPress to Enterprises’. I think, he is the right person to speak on this. 🙂 Rahul explained well on Integration, viability, extensibility and GPL concerns.

Nagesh Pai’s Cool Depiction of WordPress Journey

Named as ‘[Dot] Com se [Dot] Org tak’, Nagesh’s session was all about WordPress’s Journey. He explained the most confusing aspect of WordPress, which haunts the beginners for months when they are introduced to this technology. It was helpful for clarity on both types of WordPress.

Something interesting by Parth now – The Relationship Marketing!

From our Ahmedabad WP Community Member, Parth Pandya took a good session on Relationship Marketing. He has highlighted details through "Affinity, Discovery & Validation" concepts.

Now that’s what we focus upon. Relation-building with customers is the most important factor of success of Multidots and hence, it was obvious this session was something not to miss.

    ShoutMeLoud at WordCamp

Among Indian Bloggers, the one who got the most advantages of WordPress is undoubtedly Harsh Agarwal. He came up with the techniques and ideas that are working in today’s date to grow the traffic and the money. With good enough practical knowledge, his growth hacking techniques seemed legit and helpful.

Fitness Tips for WP Sites by Ajit

Ajit Bohra explained on WordPress requirement for a healthy lifestyle and proper diet, so that your WordPress site can stay healthy and fit. Just by considering the technology lively, he increased the interestingness of the whole concept.

    Finally, A Developer’s Thing!

Being a project coordinator, my search for the technical sessions ended here. An open session for developers on "How to grow your development skills?" was surely a not-a-miss event.

Going Back with Memories and Better WP Skills

Now, it’s the time to pack my bags and fly back to Ahmedabad.

It was another WordCamp for Multidots and every such WordCamp motivates us to be the part of upcoming one. For us, it’s an event where excitement, fun, and network meet. 🙂
